Acts 8-10
This morning we come to the final message in our series on INVITE!
Last week we talked about what it would take to reach all of NWA with the Gospel—which seems an ambitious goal (and it is), but we do so because of the commands of Jesus!
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
With such challenges of reaching “all nations…all the world…to the end of the earth,” it would be easy to overlook the importance of the INDIVIDUAL—to be so concerned for my city, that I ignore my next-door neighbor!
Yet even in “The ACTS of the Apostles,” where the dramatic spread of the gospel is narrated, there is great emphasis is placed on INDIVIDUALS coming to faith!
Q: “How do we reach the individual?”
A: There are THREE elements involved:

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
